[Early additional ESD at Japan]
Doctor Kikuchi from Toranomon Hospital at Tokyo reported their experience of early additional ESD. In1,456 ESD lesions, there were 33 lateral margin positive lesions. In the 12 follow-up patients without additional treatment, there were 4 local recurrences. Secondary ESD like this picture was done in 8 patients.
Residual tumor was found in 5 out of 8 secondary ESD specimen. Although the number of secondary ESD was only 8, there was no recurrence for almost 3 years. lateral margin.
