[ADR of PPI - thrombocytopenia]

중환자실 전공의들에 따르면 thrombocytopenia의 원인으로 PPI가 중요하게 고려된다고 합니다.

PPI와 어떤 종류의 약제를 함께 사용하였을 때 뚜렷한 thrombocytopenia가 발생하는 경우도 있다고 합니다. Phenytoin 관련 thrombocytopenia 증례에서 다음과 같이 언급이 있습니다. "Most documented cases of thrombocytopenia occur after a week or longer of phenytoin administration with the coadministration of glucocorticoids and cimetidine or proton pump inhibitors."

PPI 관련 thrombocytopenia의 빈도는 낮은 것 같습니다. The prevalence of pantoprozole associated thrombocytopenia in a community hospital이라는 제목의 retrospective cohort study 결과는 negative였습니다.
