Fold가 끝나는 곳까지 암이라는 생각은 오해입니다. Fold 표면도 암인 경우가 많습니다. 4cm 위암으로 나온 환자인데요.... 첫 사진을 보면 fold 표면까지 암이었음을 알 수 있습니다. Fold 점막의 discoloration에 유의해 주세요. Undifferentiated type histology의 조기위암에서 종종 발견되는 현상입니다.

3. Histologic type : tubular adenocarcinoma, poorly (poorly cohesive) differentiated with signet ring cell component
4. Histologic type by Lauren : diffuse
5. Size : 4x2.4 cm
6. Depth of invasion : invades mucosa (muscularis mucosae) (pT1a)
7. Resection margin: free from carcinoma, safety margin: proximal 1.2 cm, distal 11.2 cm
8. Lymph node metastasis : no metastasis in 30 regional lymph nodes (pN0)
9. Lymphatic invasion : not identified
10. Venous invasion : not identified
11. Perineural invasion : not identified
12. AJCC stage by 7th edition: T1a N0
