Proximal stomach의 병소는 생각보다 놓치기 쉽습니다. 검진에서 작은 위암을 발견하여 의뢰해 준 경우였습니다.

Stomach, subtotal gastrectomy:
Early gastric carcinoma
1. Location : middle third, center at upper body and lesser curvature
2. Gross type : EGC type IIc
3. Histologic type : tubular adenocarcinoma, moderately(60%) and well(40%) differentiated
4. Histologic type by Lauren : intestinal
5. Size : 2.8x1.9 cm
6. Depth of invasion : invades submucosa (sm1) (pT1b)
7. Resection margin: free from carcinoma, safety margin: proximal 0.3 cm, distal 10.8 cm
8. Lymph node metastasis : no metastasis in 30 regional lymph nodes (pN0)
9. Lymphatic invasion : not identified
10. Venous invasion : not identified
11. Perineural invasion : not identified
12. Peritoneal cytology : negative
13. AJCC stage by 7th edition: pT1b N0
