[Gastric cancer 752 - EGC]

Early gastric cancer was found in screening endoscopy (female 60, year 2018). Endoscopic resection was done but the final pathology was deep SM tumor with lymphatic/venous invasion. Deep resection margin was also positive probably due to cauterization artifact.

ESD: Early gastric carcinoma
1. Location : antrum, lesser curvature, posterior wall
2. Gross type : EGC type IIb
3. Histologic type : tubular adenocarcinoma, moderately differentiated (clear cell type)
4. Histologic type by Lauren : intestinal
5. Size of carcinoma : (1) longest diameter, 12 mm (2) vertical diameter, 7 mm
6. Depth of invasion : invades submucosa, (depth of sm invasion : 2000 §­) (pT1b)
7. Resection margin : involved deep resection margin by carcinoma with cauterized artifact, free from carcinoma(N), safety margin : distal 11 mm, proximal 13 mm, anterior 14 mm, posterior 10 mm, deep 0 §­
8. Lymphatic invasion : present
9. Venous invasion : present
10. Perineural invasion : not identified(N)
11. Microscopic ulcer : absent
12. Histologic heterogeneity: absent
