72 years old male patient was treated with ESD for EGC. Secreening colonoscopy was recommended at the initial diagnosis of gastric cancer

6 years after gastric ESD, a cecal wall thickening was found in the follow up CT. Cecal cancer was found and treated.

At the same time, a lung cancer was found and treated.

The recurrence rate after gastric ESD for EGC is quite low. Regular screenings for cancers in the other organ are required as average risk population.

There are two remaining questions in this case. Is colon cancer screening required after 75 years? Is lung cancer screening required for non-smokers? The balance or risk and benefit is carefully evaluated in cancer screening.
